Salina Regional Health Center is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital with more than 1,300 employees committed to providing world class service to every person that walks through our doors. Salina Regional's diverse medical staff of more than 130 physicians, positions us as a leader in health care in our region. In 2009 we completed a new $70 million dollar six story patient bed tower which provides all-private patient rooms, patient convenience and quality care, in a healing and spiritual environment. The new patient tower comes on the heels of our newly constructed Cancer Center, parking garage, a 26 bed Emergency Room and two medical office buildings. Now we plan to expand our Medical Staff!
Salina Regional has been recognized for our commitment to quality medical care, community service and state of the art medical equipment.

- Tammy Walker Cancer Center earns national accreditation for radiation oncology
2009 - The Tammy Walker Cancer Center at Salina Regional Health Center has been awarded a full, three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) for its clinical practice standards and care given to patients undergoing radiation treatment. The radiation oncology program at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center is the only one in Kansas to hold this honor.
After a thorough independent survey and onsite inspection by board certified radiation oncologists and radiation physicists from the ACRO'S Practice Accreditation Program, their findings determined that the facility, equipment, policies, procedures, staff and clinical treatment methods given to patients meet and exceed national standards for radiation oncology.
"This validates the quality of care we've always worked hard to provide our patients," said Claudia Perez-Tomayo, M.D., medical director for the program. "An ACRO accreditation makes it very plain to consumers that safe, appropriate care is available at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center and raises the bar for radiation oncology practice in the region."
