Salina is known throughout north-central Kansas as a city of parks. Our 23 parks feature everything from ball diamonds to formal flower gardens. Among the parks are:
- Oakdale Park, located in the center of the city, is home to the Smoky Hill River Festival and the Eric Stein Stage at Oakdale Park. In addition, the park features a formal flower garden, a gazebo, three shelter houses, two playground areas and an eight-court tennis complex.
- Kenwood Park is adjacent to Oakdale Park and is home to the Saline County Expo Center, the Salina Bicentennial Center, the Salina Municipal Pool, the Saline County Fairgrounds, Tri-Rivers Stadium rodeo arena and Kenwood Hall.
- Sunset Park, located in west Salina, features a formal flower garden with fountains, a waterfall and the Saline County War Memorial.
- Lakewood Park features the Discovery Center, nature trails, a stocked fishing lake and two, nine-hole disc golf courses.
- Bill Burke Park houses eight baseball and softball fields, four batting cages, hiking and jogging trails and six soccer fields.
- East Crawford Recreation Area is home to Dean Evans Stadium, four softball fields and three baseball fields, the 18-hole Salina Municipal Golf Course, and a six-hole par-three course that caters to junior golfers.
- Salina is home to a new five-field (with three more planned) soccer complex in south Salina that allows the city to play host to statewide soccer tournaments.
